Sr. Youth in Antonio

Senior Youth

Our Senior Youth program involves high school age students.  Our Senior Youth are involved as Sunday School teachers and teacher’s assistants, they help with our summer Vacation Bible School, they participate in service projects, fund raising activities, they participate in youth retreats and trips (such as the ELCA Youth Gathering), and meet monthly as a group to plan for upcoming events.

The Senior Youth are active in leading worship at our monthly New Traditions service on the third Sunday of the month.  The Senior Youth Worship Team puts on skits, reads the lessons, and leads the prayers.

The Senior Youth Worship Team leads worship for our Good Friday service at 7:30 p.m. during Holy Week.

Junior Youth

Our Junior Youth program involves 7th and 8th grade students.  Our Junior Youth help with our Vacation Bible School, they participate in service projects, fund raising activities, and youth retreats and trips like Youth Quake in the Wisconsin Dells.

The Junior Youth assist with skits and leading worship on Youth Sundays.  One of the most important worship duties for our Junior Youth is the stripping of the altar and chancel area at the conclusion of our Maundy Thursday worship service during Holy Week.

Our 4-6’ers program involves children in 4th through 6th grades.  They attend our summer Vacation Bible School Day Camp, as well as other activities during the year.  They host a Halloween costume party and a Spring Dance.  They also host a Special Friends Dinner around Valentine’s Day and invite members of the congregation who are 80 years of age or older to attend.
